I am Alejandro, born and raised in Costa Rica on the beach of Manuel Antonio, ‘Playa Manuel Antonio’.
I am a surf instructor for 15 years and would love to provide you with the best experience possible of Manuel Antonio and the surrounding areas and of course, help you improve your surf skills.
At our Manuel Antonio Surf School, our team and I have lots of experience teaching young children, as well as all age groups. We will make you surf on the first waves of the lesson.
Since 2022 we are certified with Surf Adaptada Costa Rica for adapted surf lessons.

Our goal is to get to know people from all over the world and make sure they will never forget their time with us in Manuel Antonio. We love sharing our knowledge of the waves & the ocean, and the beautiful nature & culture of Costa Rica.
Are you not sure about Surfing or Body Boarding?
Companions are more than welcome to play & relax along at our Surf Spot.
Private Surf Lessons
The daily surf lessons include private one-on-one instruction, guaranteed standing up, water, fresh fruits, beach chairs, shade & body boards to play in the waves.
If you want to keep practicing after the lesson you are more than welcome to use the board for a couple more hours.
Inclusive Surf Lessons
Me and my crew are certified instructors with Surf Adaptado Costa Rica.
We have all equipment available, beach wheelchair, platform beach access, adapted surfboards & an experienced, passionate crew.
Surf- & Bodyboard Rental
We have a big assortment of beginner Surf boards & professional Body Boards that you can rent by the hour, day, or longer.
Are you an intermediate or experienced surfer, no worries, matching your surfing levels we also have lots of short boards.
Surf Camp
A Surf Camp for the Kids
Riptide Awareness Instruction, Surf, Body Board, Kayak, River Play, Beach Toys, Soccer, Fruits & Snacks.
Private or on Sunday with our Local Surf Camp Group.

Want to surf but experience different amazing waves, beach breaks, and consistent waves?
We are more than happy to take you to different surfing destinations and on the way explore beautiful beaches, a waterfall, or a river.
Together we can set up a tour that matches exactly your wishes!

We have it ALL! Come hang with us and we will arrange a perfect beach day with a Sunset & Campfire to finish the day.
After Surf Massage
A relaxing massage after an intense Surf Lesson in Manuel Antonio?
Or do you want some relaxing time while your kids are having a Surf Lesson or Surf Camp?
We offer massages right at the beach at our surf spot right next to the Manuel Antonio National Park.

This experience was terrific! Alejandro, my surf instructor Kenneth, and others I met at Alejandro’s Surf School were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The beach itself is so beautiful and the waves were great. I had taken one group surfing lesson previously in another country, but this 1-on-1 instruction with Kenneth helped me feel like I was really learning the fundamental skills I needed to be able to surf on my own. Their focus was on creating a fun and memorable experience for me, and they succeeded. I already plan on returning to them for more surfing before I leave Manuel Antonio. Highly recommend!

Alejandro and his crew are truly some of the best instructors for children or adults. My family while on travel got lessons from them and we were all able to learn to stand on our boards almost right away and they were so friendly that they offered my two boys nice necklaces with a shark tooth.
Also treated us to tasty pineapples & coconut juice in the shade while some of us rested.
My kids fell in love with their instructors and wanted selfies with each one of them. If you are a parent looking for your kids to learn, this is the place you want to go. I can only speak very highly of them.
